Moiben Member of Parliament, Prof. Phylis Bartoo, has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to the families and communities affected by the tragic road accident that claimed the lives of several young men from the Kimumu area last Saturday. The horrific crash occurred along the Iten-Kabarnet road, sending shockwaves through the Moiben constituency and beyond.
In an emotional message, Prof. Bartoo mourned the untimely deaths of the young men, describing the incident as a devastating loss to the Kimumu fraternity and the entire Moiben community.
“Our hearts go out to the Kimumu fraternity and the entire Moiben community as we mourn our beloved young men who perished in the horrific road accident along the Iten-Kabarnet road,” she stated.
She extended her deepest sympathies to the bereaved families, close friends, church members, and residents of Kabitoi Village, Kaplemur, and Kimumu Ward, emphasizing the magnitude of the tragedy and the collective grief felt by the community.
“May you find strength and comfort in the memories you shared. During this incredibly difficult time, know that we stand with you in prayer and solidarity,” she said.
Prof. Bartoo also wished a swift and full recovery to the survivors who are currently undergoing treatment at Iten County Referral Hospital. “Our thoughts are with them for a speedy healing process. Poleni sanaa,” she added.
The MP called for urgent action to improve road safety measures in the region, stressing the need to prevent such tragic events from recurring.
