President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering unity and inclusive development across the country, warning against the dangers of ethnic and divisive politics.
Speaking at the conclusion of a two-day development tour of Narok County, President Ruto emphasized the need for national cohesion, saying: “We refuse to fall into the trap of ethnic and divisive politics that not only blurs our vision but also threatens our country’s transformation. It is our collective responsibility to work together to build a more inclusive and prosperous Kenya.”
During the tour, the President officially launched the Sekenani Bead Production Centre, a project aimed at empowering local women through artisanal skills and job creation. The initiative is expected to boost the local economy and preserve the rich Maasai cultural heritage.
President Ruto extended his gratitude to the residents of Narok for their warm reception and support throughout the visit. “We thank the people of Narok for the excellent welcome they accorded us as we traversed the vast county,” he said.
The tour featured inspections of ongoing infrastructure projects and engagements with local leaders and communities, underlining the government’s focus on bottom-up economic empowerment.
