Governor Natembeya Hosts Strategic Talks with Bells University on Opening Branch in Trans Nzoia

 



In a significant step toward transforming the education landscape of Trans Nzoia County, Governor George Natembeya today hosted Prof. Jeremiah Ojeridah, Vice Chancellor of Bells University (Nigeria), and renowned strategist and author Dr. Wale Akinyemi. The high-level meeting focused on plans to establish a branch of Bless University within the county.

Governor Natembeya described the engagement as a “milestone moment” in fulfilling his administration’s manifesto commitment to make higher education more accessible and affordable for local youth.

“This initiative is not just about bringing a prestigious university to Trans Nzoia,” Governor Natembeya stated. “It is about investing in the future of our young people, reducing the cost of education, and positioning our county as an academic hub.”

The proposed university branch is expected to create new academic and economic opportunities while fostering innovation and skills development. Governor Natembeya emphasized that his administration remains firmly committed to creating an investor-friendly environment, and warmly welcomed Bells University and its partners.

“We are building a future where our youth don’t have to leave the county in search of quality education,” he added. “We welcome this strategic partnership and the transformative opportunities it promises.”
