Tragic Road Accident Claims Life of James Nyakweba and Son

 

A tragic road accident on Sunday, 30th November 2025, has claimed the life of Mr. James Nyakweba and his son, Brian. James Nyakweba died at the scene, while Brian, who had been hospitalized following the accident, succumbed to his injuries today.

The accident also left Nyakweba’s wife injured, and she is currently receiving treatment. Authorities and family members continue to pray for her full and speedy recovery.

PS Interior Raymond Omolo expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, noting his close working relationship with Nyakweba during his tenure as Managing Director of the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA). Nyakweba served with dedication and distinction as the Head of Human Resources at the authority.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire family. May God’s comfort, strength, and abiding presence surround you during this profoundly difficult moment,” PS Omolo said.

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with colleagues, friends, and well-wishers mourning the loss of a respected professional and his young son.
