Simon Kangwana Chimuche Appointed Kenya’s Education Attaché in Uganda



Mr. Simon Kangwana Chimuche has been officially appointed as Kenya’s new Education Attaché in Kampala, Uganda, a key position responsible for advancing the country’s education agenda in the region.

The appointment letter was handed over in a formal ceremony, where Mr. Chimuche was accompanied by Mr. Joseph Busiega, Chief of Staff from the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. He will assume his duties with immediate effect.

Speaking during the handover, PS Education Prof. Julius Bitok praised Mr. Chimuche for his experience and dedication, wishing him success in representing Kenya and promoting its education priorities across East Africa.

“The role of the Education Attaché is pivotal in strengthening Kenya’s educational collaborations and partnerships abroad. I am confident that Mr. Chimuche will excel in this important responsibility,” Prof. Bitok said.

Mr. Chimuche’s appointment signals Kenya’s commitment to enhancing regional cooperation in education, supporting Kenyan students abroad, and fostering partnerships that advance the nation’s educational goals.
