Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi Distributes Logbooks to Motorbike and Matatu Sacco Operators as Part of Empowerment Program

 Kapseret Constituency MP, Oscar Sudi, today took a significant step in supporting local entrepreneurs by issuing logbooks to motorbike and matatu Sacco operators as part of the Kapseret Empowerment Program. This initiative, launched five months ago, is aimed at empowering residents, enhancing security, and promoting economic growth within the constituency.

Speaking during the distribution event, MP Oscar Sudi emphasized the importance of formalizing the transport sector and providing the necessary support for local businesses to thrive. "Today marks a milestone in our efforts to empower the people of Kapseret. By issuing logbooks to the operators, we are not only ensuring the legitimacy of their businesses but also contributing to the security and sustainability of their operations," said Sudi.

The Kapseret Empowerment Program, which began five months ago, has seen a growing number of local entrepreneurs benefiting from government-backed initiatives aimed at improving their livelihoods. The event was attended by a large number of motorbike riders and matatu Sacco operators, many of whom expressed their gratitude for the initiative, which they say will help them grow their businesses and improve their standard of living.

"I am very thankful to MP Sudi for making this initiative possible. With the logbook, we can now run our businesses with more confidence and security. It will also be easier to access loans and insurance, which are vital for the success of our businesses," said one of the beneficiaries, Peter Kipchirchir, a motorbike operator from Kapseret.

The Kapseret Empowerment Program, which encompasses a range of initiatives aimed at supporting small businesses, youth employment, and women’s empowerment, has been praised for its positive impact on the community. Sudi has committed to expanding the program further, with plans to introduce more empowerment schemes for local farmers, traders, and entrepreneurs.
