Engineers Board of Kenya Launches Professional Engineers Registration Training Workshop
The Chief Executive Officer and Registrar of the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), Eng. Margaret Ogai, officially opened the Professional Engineers Registration Training Workshop, a five-day program aimed at equipping Graduate Engineers with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare for their Professional Examination Reports.
The workshop brings together participants from key public and private sector institutions, including Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO), Safaricom PLC, Kenya Space Agency, Kilifi County Government, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), and Kimawasco Ltd, underscoring a shared national commitment to advancing engineering professionalism and excellence.
In her opening remarks, Eng. Ogai emphasized the importance of structured mentorship and continuous professional development in sustaining high standards within the engineering fraternity. She reiterated EBK’s dedication to fostering competence, ethical practice, and innovation among Kenya’s engineering professionals.
“At EBK, we believe that empowering our young engineers through training, guidance, and exposure is essential to achieving engineering excellence and driving national development,” she stated.
The training forms part of EBK’s broader mandate to promote capacity building and ensure that all registered engineers meet the professional and ethical benchmarks required in the field.
