CS Rebecca Miano Joins President Ruto for Ukambani Working Tour

Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Hon. Rebecca Miano, EGH, today joined His Excellency President Dr. William Samoei Ruto and Deputy President H.E. Rigathi Gachagua on the first day of the President’s three-day working tour of the Ukambani region.

The visit kicked off in Kilome, Makueni County, where the President outlined key government interventions aimed at transforming livelihoods and accelerating regional development.

CS Miano reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to supporting the government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) through strategic investments in tourism infrastructure, community empowerment, and sustainable resource management.

“We fully rally behind the visionary leadership of His Excellency President William Ruto. The ongoing initiatives in infrastructure, housing, healthcare, access to power, water and sanitation, and community empowerment are a clear testament to the government’s commitment to inclusive growth,” said CS Miano.

The Ukambani tour will feature various development inspections, project launches, and community engagements across the three counties of Makueni, Kitui, and Machakos, underscoring the administration’s focus on delivering transformative change to all Kenyans.
