Kipsoen FC Dominates Local Football, Set to Represent Kamariny Ward in Governor Wa Raia Tournament

 

Kipsoen FC has once again stamped its authority on the local football scene after an emphatic 6–0 demolition of Kibargoiyet FC, followed by a hard-fought 1–0 win over Logogo FC, to earn the honour of representing Kamariny Ward in the prestigious Governor Wa Raia Tournament.

The team’s performance not only thrilled fans but also solidified its growing reputation as a football powerhouse in the region.

Kipsoen FC, which currently competes in the Upper Rift Regional League – Zone A Pool A, has become a household name in local football circuits, known for its fast-paced attacking style and tactical discipline.

The recent victories mark another milestone for the club, which is riding high on a wave of momentum following an impressive 2024 season where they were crowned Keiyo North Champions during the 2nd edition of the Governor Wa Raia Tournament.

A Rising Force in Regional Football

In last year's campaign, Kipsoen FC advanced to the finals alongside regional rivals Kapchebau FC and Kipsaina FC, showcasing their resilience and hunger for success.

Their back-to-back triumphs in the ongoing competitions now position them as strong contenders at the Sub-County level, with fans and football enthusiasts eagerly awaiting their next fixture.

“We’re incredibly proud of the boys. Their commitment and team spirit are unmatched,” said team coach Emmanuel Kiprotich. “This is just the beginning — we are going all the way.”

Leaders Join Fans to Cheer

The excitement in Kamariny was palpable during the matches, with Elgeyo Marakwet CECM for Sports, Jason Lagat, and area MCA Benjamin Cheptiony joining supporters on the sidelines to cheer the team.

“Kipsoen FC is a true reflection of the talent we have in our ward,” said MCA Cheptiony. “They deserve all our support as they carry the hopes of the community forward.”

CECM Lagat echoed the sentiments, promising continued investment in youth and sports development.
