CS Murkomen Commends TikTok Creator Papa Lewiso for Promoting Positive Online Content
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has applauded young Kenyans who are using social media to promote positivity, creativity, and unity, urging more youth to embrace responsible online engagement.
Speaking after meeting Zedekia Omengo Ouma, popularly known as Papa Lewiso, a rising TikTok content creator, CS Murkomen praised the young influencer for his entertaining and clean content that avoids hate, obscenities, and divisive messages.
“We appreciate young people who use their talents to create content that is entertaining but free from hate, division, and obscenities,” said Murkomen. “Social media is a powerful tool for storytelling and connection. Let us use it responsibly to inspire others and drive positive change in our society.”
The CS noted that the government remains committed to creating an environment that encourages innovation and supports the digital economy, where young people can turn their talents into meaningful livelihoods.
“As a government, we continue to build an environment that supports innovation, provides opportunities, and empowers young people to use their talents to make a name and earn a living,” he added.
Papa Lewiso, who has gained a strong following on TikTok for his humorous and motivational videos, expressed appreciation for the government’s recognition and pledged to continue producing content that uplifts and educates.
CS Murkomen emphasized that the government will continue to engage with digital content creators to promote responsible use of social media and to leverage technology for national development and social cohesion.
