Moisbridge Ward on the Rise: MCA Patrick Kimeli Highlights Ongoing Development Projects

Moisbridge Ward is witnessing a wave of development as several key infrastructure and service delivery projects take shape under the leadership of MCA Patrick Kimeli.

In a recent update, Hon. Kimeli shared progress on critical road repairs, lighting projects, and upcoming healthcare and sanitation infrastructure that promise to transform the ward.

“As we speak, we are currently focusing on restoring small but vital roads such as Katutwet, Mudanya, and Patrice,” Kimeli said. “These roads had been totally cut off and needed urgent intervention. Thanks to the county government for providing machinery, and I personally sourced marram to ensure these areas become passable again. We are targeting roads that require only three or four lorries of marram—just enough to restore connectivity, especially after the rains.”

The ward is also benefiting from enhanced security and night-time visibility. According to Kimeli, high-mast floodlights for Mukunga and Elharre are being installed under the 2024/2025 financial year projects, which rolled over into the current phase of implementation.

Looking ahead, more lighting projects are in the pipeline. “This financial year, 2025/2026, we are installing high-mast floodlights for Kilima and Kilimani areas. These projects are key to improving security and supporting our vibrant evening economy,” the MCA added.

Moisbridge Ward is also poised for major infrastructural milestones, with upcoming developments including the elevation of Mois Bridge to a municipality, the construction of a Level 4 County Hospital, a modern sewerage system for the town, and a new hospital in Natwana.

“These initiatives mark a significant step in transforming Moisbridge. We are not only improving infrastructure but also focusing on healthcare, sanitation, and urban development,” Kimeli noted. “We look forward to celebrating Mois Bridge's growth into a thriving municipality that serves all residents with dignity and efficiency.”

Residents have expressed optimism as these projects come to life, seeing them as a sign of effective leadership and tangible change on the ground.
